Private Pole Services
Private poles can be installed for many reasons. You may want to make your property more appealing and eliminate the Point of Attachment from the front of your house or you may need a private pole installed to gain height across a roadway to meet the minimum height requirements. You may also need to have a private pole to rectify encroachment issues of your neighbour’s boundary.
Treated Hardwood Timber
Although this option is higher in cost, timber poles usually has a lifespan of 30+ years. Although these poles have a long lifespan, they are susceptible to rotting when installed in areas with a high moisture content or are also prone to damage from termites.
Galvanised Steel
This version has a lifespan of around 15-20 years, is more cost effective, and also has its wiring ran within the pole. Steel options are more aesthetically pleasing for customers – they can even be painted to fit in with their surrounding environment! However, they do need to be inspected regularly as they are prone to rust at ground height. Height clearance can also be difficult to obtain for steel variants, so they may not always be an option suited to what you need. It is a cost-effective option with a shorter life span.
Titan Poles
These poles are rust, rot, termite and bushfire-proof, non-conducive, lighter than wood or concrete, plus they come with a lifetime warranty. Available in sizes from 7.2m-12.5m as a single piece and 14-23m as two pieces. They can be easily cut down to length and also have a hollow structure which allows for cables to be run internally providing safety and security throughout your installation. Additionally, an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification Device) is embedded in the pole during production for easier identification and maintenance. Titan systems are also UV proof, have the lowest carbon footprint and are most suitable for marine applications or saline ground conditions.
